Feeling Better

Thanks everyone for the kind comments! I'll be answering them all individually a bit later (computer troubles). I pushed through the feeling this morning by turning to Jane Austen for comfort. :) Then, this afternoon I went to the library!

I realised I was in a YA mood, so that's the majority of this trip's stash: The Looking Glass Wars, Twilight, Ironside, The Wee Free Men, and Wicked Lovely. I also grabbed some challenge read: Sandman, Vol. I for the Reading the Author Challenge, The Master and Commander and The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle for the upcoming Nautical Challenge. :)

I plan to just bury myself in books for a little while, hehe. Panic attacks are silly!

Jane does provide a lot of comfort reading, doesn't she?

Take it easy!

I haven't read The Looking Glass Wars. Let me know how it is! :)

Great picks! Sometimes I think we have identical tastes in books ;)

I think panic attacks over books do happen quite a lot - especially now that I read so many book blogs and everyone is always recommending such great books :)
I haven't been to the library in a week so I'm planning to go there tomorrow. Need my library fix!
Enjoy your YA books.

Oh, you checked out some wonderful books. Hope you enjoy them.

Interesting that you are having this feeling on the day you checked out a pile of books and just finished reading So Many Books, So Little Time. I don't know how to deal with that overwhelmed feeling except to remind ourselves that reading's suppose to be fun not a chore. I just mentally shake myself on occasion and take a deep breath. It doesn't help a great deal. Hope you discover an answer that will work. If so, please share, ok?

You grabbed some great books. I especially love Twilight, and I hope you do, too. I've never read The Sandman series, but I have Preludes & Nocturnes waiting for me. Maybe that'll be my final book for the RIP challenge.

LK, that she does! Oh, and I read "Monkey's Paw" ages ago and keep forgetting to mention it. *sigh*

Em, I will! One of the read-a-thoners read it and really liked it.

Chris, close, I think! I'm not a fan of Colleen Gleason, though. And I don't think you love Jane Austen. Still, 99% isn't bad. :p

Iliana, book blogs certainly make everything more difficult!

Booklogged, lol-the pile of books I checked out was after the panic attack. Somehow, having a big pile of books to read made me feel better...weird, I know! Other than that, breaking open some Jane Austen was an immediate comfort-maybe she does the same for you? Or if you have a different author?

Andi, I loved Twilight as well!

Nymeth, I knew you'd be cheering for the Gaiman and Pratchett! :)

Jean Pierre, thanks for stopping by. Always exciting to see another Gaiman fan. :D (I like Pratchett too, but I'm almost afraid to get into his series, it's so long)

As embarrassing as it is to admit, I've never read any Jane Austen :o That will be corrected soon though as I've recently bought Northanger Abbey and Persuasion for a challenge early next year. I love the BBC productions of her novels, I just never thought her books would be my kind of thing. But I'm giving them a try!

I'm so excited about winning Marked :D I've been wanting to read that one ever since I heard reviews! If you shoot me an email at chrisa511 (at)gmail(dot)com I'll send you my address back. You're great for doing that contest :)
